JOB SUMMARY
Project engineering and project management responsibilities regarding new and existing facilities.
|
Duties: |
•Project engineering regarding new and existing facilities, typically consisting of API tanks, ASME pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, instrumentation, power distribution, and foundations.
•Develop equipment layouts, P & IDs, and complete preliminary engineering.
•Prepare budgets and scope of work.
•Develop proposals and detailed project estimates.
•Complete detailed engineering
•Solicit and evaluate competitive bids.
•Supervise critical stages of construction
•Serve as Project Manager, with onsite supervision of contractors as required
•Participate in and/or conduct routine project meetings
•Monitor and report project status, project timing, and project expenditures.
•Provide technical support to the Martin organization wherever it is needed
•Support local Maintenance personnel in identifying roots cause of recurring equipment failures
•Travel – 50%.

Qualifications: |
Requires attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently; proficiency with PC applications. (Excel, Word)
•Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and best industry practices for chemical process plants and tank farms
•Thorough knowledge of all types of chemical process equipment, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, heat exchangers, piping, ASME pressure vessels, and API 650 tanks.
•Thorough knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and components
•Thorough knowledge of instrumentation systems and components
•Experience with foundation design, especially pile-supported foundations
•7+ years experience with AutoCAD
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•A Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
•7+ years experience in design and construction of chemical process units or terminalling facilities. |
