Duties:

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.

  • Develop a therapeutic retraining program with measurable objectives from assessing and screening patients' daily living and working skills  
  • Assist the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function by administering and interpreting patient's diagnostic and prognostic tests of function in their homes
  • Participate in development and revision of the Plan of Care by conferring with the patients' physicians and clinical team members
  • Improve and restore strength, coordination, range of motion and function by providing therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients in accordance with physician orders

Qualifications:

General Background and Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or the equivalent
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurologic injury generally required
  • Current unrestricted professional license and/or certification as required by the state of desired practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
  • Absolute love of patient care!
