Description: |
Assist the Department Manager with the execution of all aspects of the department including the day-to-day operations of the department’s core functions.
Perform a variety of specialized administrative and office support functions including clerical duties, research, recording and maintaining documents (manually filing or storing electronically) and any additional duties in connection with department work process.
Produce a variety of technical, statistical, financial and narrative reports.
Prepare written correspondence via email, letters and memos.
General office duties include typing, bookkeeping, flow of correspondence, faxing, etc.
Provide meeting support as needed (e.g., scheduling conference rooms, coordinating food, logistics).
Maintain an updated and accurate calendar to ensure the successful operation of the department.
Provide back-up and support for other departmental administrative staff.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Duties: |
Considerable knowledge of standard office clerical and administrative practices and processes.
Knowledge in computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners and telephones.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for Windows.
Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing.
Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments. Coordinate a variety of tasks with good attention to detail. Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications: |
Years of Experience: Approximately 5 year experience in an administrative position.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent professional experience.
