| The Web Designer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of multiple company and corporate intranet and Internet websites. We are looking for a designer with lots of potential, a desire to grow, and a self-starter that thrives on challenge in our fast-paced environment. This position works on the Marketing and Publications team under the direction of the Web Technology Manager and Web Team Supervisor. |
Duties: |
Primary duties & responsibilities consist of:
• Collaborate with internal clients, Marketing Managers and web developers in a team environment.
• Analyze and identify business, functional, and usability requirements for each project.
• Provide visual comps and then develop matching XHTML/CSS templates for web developers.
• Execute projects from initial concept through delivery of templates to developers.
• Assist in troubleshooting of final code.
• Create Wireframes in Axure.
• Design and build Emails with standards.
• Create original web designs for multiple affiliates and promotional pages.
• Manage multiple projects and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Position requires strong attention to detail, collective reasoning, and creative problem solving in a changing environment.

Qualifications: |
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Must be proficiency in Adobe Creative suite.
• Possess strong knowledge of CSS and HTML.
• Have good knowledge of cross-browser compatibility. Be able to create wireframes and mockups showing various states and user interactivity.
• Have a proven talent for creating fresh, unique and professional designs.
• Enjoy collaborating and are not threatened by feedback.
• Have strong visual design skills, including an eye for good typography, composition, and use of color.
• Offer new ideas and communicate them effectively.
• Good knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and browser degradation strategies.
• Solid understanding of search engine optimization techniques and building sites to maximize organic searches.
• Position requires strong attention to detail, collective reasoning, and creative problem solving in changing environment.
Education & Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-5 years of web and graphic design experience required.
• Strong online portfolio demonstrating well-executed work in website design.
• Candidates must submit a resume and online portfolio.
Physical Requirements: Occasionally bend/stoop and kneel. Rarely squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch or push/pull. Rarely lifts waist to overhead up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts floor to waist and carries up to 10 pounds.
