The Health & Welfare Consultant will be responsible for development, marketing, and growth of the Health & Welfare practice in the Southern Employee Benefits region.

Duties: |
Assist with the formulation, alignment, and execution of Health & Welfare strategy within Southern Employee Benefits region
Define desired services, develop staffing game plan, and confirm availability of additional support within Milliman as needed
Provide Health & Welfare consulting, and manage client relationships for select Health & Welfare clients
Work in concert with Sales and Marketing team to develop Health & Welfare marketing materials and sales collateral
Lead growth efforts of Health & Welfare practice within the Southern Employee Benefits region
Establish strong working relationships with appropriate Health & Welfare consultants within the Milliman group of practices
Identify and establish key relationships within the market place (business referral sources, service providers, etc)
Maintain marketplace visibility through public speaking engagements and participation in professional organizations and industry conferences
Provide ongoing leadership for the Health & Welfare practice |
Qualifications: |
Minimum eight years of Health & Welfare experience
Bachelor's degree
Professional designations desirable, but not required
Demonstrate success in the marketing and sales of Health & Welfare consulting services
Maintain current and relevant knowledge of legislation, market trends, and issues affecting the Health & Welfare market
Proven strategic leadership and management skills
Exceptional communication skills with an ability to present and manage presentations covering complex topics
Effective time management skills that allows the candidate to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and organize complex projects and balance long term goals
Experience leading people in a team environment and building consensus among colleagues
