| The primary role of the Symon Front End Developer is to provide Symon with the skills necessary to build innovative and exciting web and mobile apps. Be a part of our effective design team while applying your expertise to optimize interactions with the cleanest code possible. Given the nature of the job, the developer must be able to work both independently as well as cooperatively with other team members. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented and passionate about performance and usability. This person should be self-motivated and possess a Can-Do attitude. |
Duties: |
The individual responsibilities are as follows: Work with internal clients to develop meaningful interactive experiences. Provide strategic thinking and acute communication with all members of the project team. Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes project managers, business strategists, agencies, consultants and technical leadership. Effectively aggregate and communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually. Collaborate with our Product Managers on design ideas. Proactively provide suggestions on enhancements Maximize your ability to enhance your skills Produce quality code (which is appreciated and recognized)

Qualifications: |
The following competencies are required of such an individual: Frameworks JQuery Build from UX/UI sketches Contribute to UX/UI sketches BS/MS in CS or related field Relevant work experience Excellent ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile development team Additional desirable skills: Practical experience in the use of development methodologies Programming Experience MVC OO JSON SQL PHP NODE.js HTML5/CSS3 Platforms iOS Android Sencha Backbone Design Experience Photoshop or equivalent Desire to learn continuously Ability to absorb and apply copious amounts of technical information Ability to establish quickly a strong rapport with others Ability to work effectively as a team member, taking direction when necessary Ability to communicate effectively, using strong active listening skills to maximize understanding of requirements Ability to use information effectively and apply good judgment in solving problems Willingness to keep management appraised of potential areas of concern, escalating when necessary Ability to complete administrative tasks consistently and on time Flexibility and willingness to help others as needed.
