Description: |
| – Evaluates patients. Reviews medical records and other information. Establishes treatment plans and goals. Provides treatment, functional training, and education. Modifies or discontinues treatment appropriately. Documents results of evaluation, treatment plan, and goals. Documents care provided and patient's response. Maintains required records. Delegates appropriate duties. Orders individual patient care supplies. Communicates with physicians, nurses, other patient care providers, the patient, and family. Develops home programs. Makes and/or modifies selected orthotic devices and ADL equipment. Assists in orientation and training of new employees and students. Instructs, evaluates, and counsels occupational therapist/occupational therapy assistant students, and volunteers, as assigned. Completes required paperwork related to clinical education. Identifies need for replacement and acquisition of departmental equipment and supplies. Participates in patient care conferences, clinics, and rounds. Locates resources for treatment and equipment for patients. Sets up and cleans up patient care areas and equipment. Interacts with agencies and individuals outside the Health Center. Participates in performance improvement activities. Participates in inservice and continuing education activities. Prepares and presents educational programs for peers, other health care personnel, students, and the public. Performs duties of supervisor, co-workers, and subordinates as necessary. Performs other duties as requested. |

Qualifications: |
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION – Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and completion of all requirements for national registration with American Occupational Therapy Association, or equivalent.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Two years professional experience as an occupational therapist (after required internships that are part of the education program).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED – check all that are REQUIRED for the job.
